Book a confidential call

Fifteen minutes. No commitment. Confidential from the first contact.

Confidential. No commitment. Fifteen minutes.

The first conversation is 15 minutes. It is exploratory. There is no commitment to anything afterwards. About a third of these calls turn into a second meeting; many do not, and that is fine.

Initial enquiries reach the Managing Partner of Jack Ross directly. The call itself is also with the Managing Partner, who runs every acquisition conversation we have. There is no junior on the line. There is no "case team."

How to reach us

Use the form below. It sends straight to the Managing Partner; nobody else sees it.

Phone: 0161 832 4451 (the Jack Ross main line). Ask for the Managing Partner.

If you would prefer to be brief

A useful first message can be as short as three lines. For example:

"Two-partner firm in SK4, £560k fees, around 75 per cent recurring, mostly OMB compliance with a small audit niche. We are starting to think about a 24-month exit. Please send the mutual NDA and any sample document pack you can share before a call."

That is enough for us to send the NDA, share what we can pre-call, and propose two or three call slots. You do not need to share more than you are comfortable with at this stage.

Who sees this enquiry

Enquiries are visible only to the Managing Partner. They are not circulated to the wider Jack Ross team, are never discussed externally, and are not attached to any practice management system that other staff would see.

Confidentiality

Every conversation is treated as confidential from the first contact, regardless of whether an NDA has been signed. We do not discuss enquiries with our wider firm except on a need-to-know basis. We do not name prospective sellers in any internal documentation that other staff would see. We do not discuss enquiries externally, including with brokers, with industry contacts, or with the wider Jack Ross group.

If you would prefer a mutual NDA in place before any substantive conversation, ask for one in your first email. It comes back from the Managing Partner within one working day, signed-ready, on a one-page mutual template.

What happens after the first call

If both sides want to proceed, the second meeting is 60 to 90 minutes. By that stage we have signed the mutual NDA and you have shared a high-level fee book summary (total fees, recurring proportion, top-ten client concentration, year-on-year fee history, staff numbers and pay grades). We come back with an indicative valuation range and clarifying questions.

From there, the timeline is set out in detail on the 12-week timeline page. The whole sequence, from first call to first payment, takes around 12 weeks for a deal that proceeds without complication.
